Sunrise Promise
8 a.m.-1st August 2007
Well, the sun really did shine for the Sunrise Promise !
Lots of Leaders were on site at Dovecote Lane Recreation Ground at 6 am, preparing for what was argueably the most important Scouting event most of us will ever take part in, the 100th Anniversary of Scouting.
The proceedings were started by our District Commissioner, Trevor Robinson, who welcomed everyone to the event and at spot on 8am, everyone re-made their promise to Scouting.
Following the promise, the young leaders went off to take part in various activities that had been organised.

But the first activity, was keep fit for the children, lead by Chil and Christina, how good were they ???
The hockey is always popular as it is played by many Cub packs at their own Groups.
Skip and Kate dish out the injuries in the casualty simulation. Makes you wonder sometimes if outsiders see the children and think we beat them.
